The 'Happy Together Collection' is an innovative mini-project that seamlessly blends film and digital media, utilizing Unreal Engine to recreate two scenes from Wong Kar-wai's masterpiece, 'Happy Together' (1997). This project serves as a tribute to the film's cinematic artistry, translating its essence into the realm of digital rendering.

Each of the two episodes within this collection aims to replicate key elements of the original scenes. This includes the distinct aspect ratio, composition, and framing that are signatures of Wong Kar-wai’s style. The attention to detail extends to replicating the film's unique colour palette, ensuring that each frame resonates with the emotional depth and visual aesthetics of the original work.

The project's workflow demonstrates a harmonious integration of Unreal Engine and traditional film techniques. The use of the engine provides a versatile platform for recreating dynamic and poignant scenes, allowing for an immersive digital portrayal. Further refinement in post-production is achieved through DaVinci Resolve, where expert colour grading techniques are applied to enhance the visual fidelity, ensuring that the digital episodes maintain the characteristic hues and tones that define 'Happy Together'.
